10 Things to Do in Las Vegas with a Young Family?

What to Do in Las Vegas if you Have a Young Family?

Las Vegas might be famous for its vibrant nightlife and casinos, but it’s also a fantastic destination for families with young children. On my recent trip with my family, I discovered an array of kid-friendly activities and attractions that made our visit memorable and enjoyable for everyone. Here are some of the best things to do in Las Vegas with a young family:

Adventuredome at Circus Circus

One of our first stops was the Adventuredome at Circus Circus, an indoor amusement park that offers rides and attractions for all ages. From thrilling roller coasters to gentle rides suitable for toddlers, there’s something for everyone. The indoor setting is perfect for escaping the heat, and the variety of activities kept our kids entertained for hours.

Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay

The Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay was a highlight of our trip. Our kids were fascinated by the variety of marine life, including sharks, rays, and sea turtles. The interactive exhibits and touch pools allowed them to get up close and personal with some of the ocean’s most intriguing creatures.

Discovery Children’s Museum

We spent an entire afternoon at the Discovery Children’s Museum, and it was well worth it. The museum is packed with interactive exhibits that encourage learning through play. From a water world to an eco-city and an art zone, the hands-on activities are designed to stimulate curiosity and creativity in young minds.

Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat

Located at The Mirage, Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat offered our kids a unique opportunity to see and learn about dolphins, white tigers, and other exotic animals. The highlight was watching the dolphins up close and even participating in a behind-the-scenes tour.

High Roller Observation Wheel

For a panoramic view of the city, we took a ride on the High Roller Observation Wheel. Our kids loved the gentle ride and the chance to see the entire Las Vegas Strip from above. The enclosed cabins are spacious and safe, making it a relaxing experience for families.

The LINQ Promenade

LINQ Promenade

After our ride on the High Roller, we explored the LINQ Promenade, a family-friendly outdoor shopping and entertainment district. There are plenty of dining options suitable for kids, fun street performers, and even a cupcake ATM that delighted our little ones.

Springs Preserve

A visit to the Springs Preserve offered a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of the Strip. This 180-acre cultural institution features botanical gardens, nature trails, and interactive exhibits about the history and ecology of the Las Vegas Valley. Our kids enjoyed the butterfly habitat and the hands-on activities in the Origen Museum.

M&M’s World and Hershey’s Chocolate World

For a sweet treat, we visited M&M’s World and Hershey’s Chocolate World. Both stores are filled with colorful displays and interactive exhibits that were a hit with our kids. They loved customizing their own M&M’s and exploring the giant chocolate sculptures.

Indoor Playgrounds and Entertainment Centers

Las Vegas is home to several indoor playgrounds and entertainment centers that are perfect for young families. Kangamoo Indoor Playground and Chuck E. Cheese offered hours of fun with their play structures, games, and family-friendly dining options.

Family-Friendly Shows

Finally, Las Vegas has a variety of family-friendly shows that are sure to captivate young audiences. We enjoyed watching Blue Man Group, a high-energy performance that combines music, comedy, and multimedia theatrics in a way that mesmerized both kids and adults.

Las Vegas is a surprisingly great destination for families with young children. From interactive museums and animal encounters to thrilling rides and sweet treats, there are countless activities to keep kids entertained and engaged. Whether you’re planning a short getaway or an extended stay, Las Vegas offers a wealth of family-friendly attractions that promise fun and memorable experiences for everyone.
